C&O Alleghany for Railworks
The photo is of the Reading 2102, a 4-8-4 smoking, steaming, black beauty that was parked beside my house in the 70's when it pulled a scenic excursion out of Ronceverte up The Greenbrier sub to Cass, WV.  She is the sister to the more storied Reading 2101 and today is locked away in storage. Due to regulations on the mainlines today and the extreme cost of compliance upgrading to these old smoke-huffers, we will probably never see her running again. I played around and on this monster, but being a kid, I regretably didn't even give it much thought at the time. I just remember how MASSIVE it seemed!  Now I wish I had paid more attention; I don't think I even took a picture.
